I can use this lesson plan to help explain how sounds naturally occur in our world. It allows students to connect on a deeper level with nature and grasp a better understanding of our hearing and sounds. A soundwalk is a great way to help your students unwind and have an opportunity to take a break from the typical classroom setting. This lesson could be changed around into a sensory walk instead of just a sound walk. This would allow students to learn more about all of their senses and the world around them. I will definitely be using this lesson plan in my future teaching practices. As a student, sound walks were one of my favorite activities I participated in during class time.
